The Rev. Jeffrey Patnaude holds a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in music from The Hartt School, University of Hartford, CT and the Manhattan School of Music, NYC, respectively.  He received a Master of Divinity Degree from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, Hamilton, MA.

A native of Farmington, ME, Rev. Patnaude was called to First Baptist Church in 2023.  Previously, he served for 16 years as Pastor of the Ogunquit Baptist Church in Ogunquit, ME.  He has also served as pastor of the West Harpswell Baptist Church, Harpswell, ME and as Youth Pastor at the Ogunquit Baptist Church.

Pastor Jeff has served on the American Baptist Churches of Maine’s Committee on the Ministry and is a past Music Director of China Lake Music Camp, China, ME.  He enjoys volunteering as assistant throwing coach for the George Stevens Academy Track Team.

An operatically trained tenor, Pastor Jeff once sang with both the Liederkranz and Brandenburg opera clubs in New York.  He was featured soloist at the Cathedral of St. Joseph, Hartford, CT, and soloist for various Maine Festival performances of the Mark Thallander Foundation.  From 2000-2003, he served as Adjunct Instructor of Voice at Gordon College, Wenham, MA.  Pastor Jeff has also taught voice both in private studio and with the Atlantic Harmonies studio in Wells, ME.

Pastor Jeff’s wife, Dr. Mary Elizabeth Patnaude, serves as Chair of the School of Occupational Therapy at Husson University, Bangor.  She is a native of Hartford, CT.  They are the proud parents of five sons.
